Electronic Separation

The basic idea about the electronic separation is using machine vision systems to identify the difference between the materials. Combine the electronic identification and material handling system give quick separation of these materials, especially the one cannot be separated using common pneumatic or other physical ways.

Refiner

Schematic of a disk refiner machine for mechanical pulping. (Boyer and Gall, 1984)

Figure shows the typical refiner used in the paper industry. The basic actions involved in the refiner are threshing. The basic configurations of the refiner are a large attrition mill with either two closely-spaced plates rotating in opposite directions or one plate rotating adjacent to a stationary plate.
